Bambu Lab: spaghetti detection warns or pauses (0C00-0300-0003-0008) or the part comes loose and makes a tangle

Checked against the official documentation from Bambu Lab.

Technology: FDM · Brand: Bambu Lab · Symptoms: The printer shows an error code or message, Does not stick to the bed, Corners lift (warping) · Updated on 24 October 2026

Symptom

The printer warns of possible spaghetti (HMS 0C00-0300-0003-0008) or pauses the print for no clear reason, says detection is unavailable because it gets no image from the camera (0C00-0100-0002-0008), or the part really comes off the plate and the nozzle keeps extruding filament into the air like a tangle.

Likely causes, from most to least likely

  1. False alarm: detection is an AI that watches the camera and sometimes gets it wrong, especially with black or dark filament or some infill patterns.
  2. Light switched off manually or no camera image: detection needs good lighting and a working camera.
  3. Real first-layer spaghetti: a dirty plate, a plate type different from the one sliced for, bed levelling off or wet filament.
  4. Mid-print spaghetti: the part warps, an unsupported overhang collapses, or the nozzle hits the part and knocks it over.

Checks to tell which one it is

  • Look at the part through the camera or in person: if it is fine, it is a false alarm.
  • Check that the light is on and the live view shows in Bambu Studio or Bambu Handy.
  • If it came loose, note when: in the first layers it is adhesion; higher up, warping, overhangs or the nozzle hitting it (you hear a clunk).

Before you start

Before taking anything apart, cleaning or adjusting it, switch the printer off and unplug it, unless a step says otherwise, and do not touch the nozzle, the heater block or the bed until they have cooled down. If in any doubt about electricity, heat or moving parts, stop and ask a professional.

Step-by-step fix

  1. Decide whether it is real

When it warns, look at the part: if there is spaghetti, stop the print or clear the tangle; if it is a false alarm (for example, from the infill pattern), carry on. If only one of several parts failed, «Skip Objects» skips the failed ones and lets the rest finish.

Check: The print continues or stops knowing why.

If that does not fix it: Adjust sensitivity and lighting.

  2. Sensitivity and lighting

Enable detection in the print options and choose the sensitivity (low, medium or high): if you leave it alone for a long time, for example overnight, low pauses less often for small defects. Do not switch off the camera light: if you turn it off manually, it does not turn back on by itself.

Check: There are fewer false alarms.

If that does not fix it: Check the camera.

  3. If there is no camera image

With 0C00-0100-0002-0008 the camera gives no image and detection does not work. Power off the printer, unplug and replug the camera cable, power it on and check in Bambu Studio or Bambu Handy that the live video shows. If nothing changes, the camera may be faulty: contact Bambu Lab support.

Check: The warning goes away and the image shows.

If that does not fix it: Keep the firmware up to date.

  4. Up-to-date firmware

Detection runs inside the printer, also in LAN mode, but its AI model improves with updates: update the firmware.

Check: The printer has the latest firmware.

If that does not fix it: If the part really comes loose, fix adhesion.

  5. If it comes loose in the first layers

Wash the plate with warm water, dish soap and a grease-free sponge and do not touch the surface; choose in Bambu Studio the plate type you have installed; run auto bed levelling again (Calibration › Print calibration) and make sure there is nothing under the plate; dry the filament; and lower the initial layer speed to 30 mm/s or less (60 mm/s or less for its infill).

Check: The whole first layer sticks.

If that does not fix it: Check what happens higher up (next step).

  6. If it comes loose mid-print

If corners lift (common with ABS, ASA, PC and PA), wash the plate and add a brim. If overhangs above 45° collapse, enable supports and slow them down. If the nozzle hits the part, change the Z hop type to «Normal» (Printer settings › Extruder) and give tall or small-footprint parts more base with a 5-8 mm brim.

Check: The part stays stuck to the plate until the end.

If that does not fix it: For lifting corners, follow Bambu Lab's warping guide.

Prevention

  • Wash the plate before printing and always hold it by the edges.
  • Leave the light on while printing: detection needs it.
  • If you print overnight unattended, set the sensitivity to low.
