Community guidelines
Draft pending legal review. These guidelines explain how moderation works today, but they are not the final text yet.
What you can publish
- Only finished models you created in your usi3d studio. Drafts and concepts cannot be published.
- Publishing is always your choice: your work is private until you share it, and you can stop sharing it at any time.
- When you publish, you confirm you have the right to share the design and everything you used to create it: photos, drawings, recognisable people, third-party trademarks or characters.
- Of your models, the preview images are shared. The 3D file (STL or GLB) is not published: only you can download it.
The usi3d Collection
- The official usi3d account publishes it: freely licensed models chosen by usi3d, each with its license in plain sight.
- Those models can be downloaded and used under their license. We count each download once per person and day; we never make up numbers.
- Some depict characters owned by other companies: the character belongs to its rights holder, not to us. We do not print them to order and we take them down as soon as the rights holder asks.
Comments and collections
- To comment you need a public profile and a verified account email: your comment appears with your community name.
- Comment on the model: how you printed it, which material you used, what you would improve. At most two links per comment.
- Your collections are private unless you choose to make them public.
What is not allowed
- Copies of other people's designs, trademarks or characters without the owner's permission.
- Sexual or violent content, hate speech or anything that puts other people at risk.
- Functional weapons or parts designed to cause harm.
- Other people's personal data, impersonation and misleading links.
- Spam: advertising, repeated posts or comments, and false reports to hide other people's work.
Licenses
Every published model shows its license. “All rights reserved” does not allow reuse; Creative Commons licenses allow different uses (attribution, share-alike, non-commercial or public domain). Printing and selling someone else's model is commercial use: we only offer it with licenses that allow it.
Reports, decisions and appeals
- Anyone with an account and a verified email can report a model or a comment, choosing a reason. We never show who reported.
- If you hold rights and have no account, tell us through the rights claim form (Contact).
- Moderation can restore, hide or remove a model, hide a comment or suspend a profile. Every decision is recorded with its reason.
- You can appeal each decision about your models or your profile once from “My space”. A person reviews it and we let you know the answer.
