ELEGOO Rapid PETG black 1.75 mm, 1 kg: fast PETG

Elegoo Rapid PETG is a PETG formulated for fast printers, here in black, 1.75 mm, on a 1 kg spool. PETG handles more heat and more knocks than PLA and has a bit of flex, which is why it's used for functional parts, brackets and things that sit near moderate heat. It has two well-known quirks: it strings easily, and it can grip some plates so hard that it tears pieces out of the surface.

  • Black PETG, 1.75 mm, 1 kg spool.
  • Published temperatures: 230–260 °C at the nozzle and 70–90 °C on the bed.
  • The spec sheet lists it as AMS-compatible (Bambu Lab), with an asterisk pointing to a note.
  • Don't squish the first layer as you would with PLA: leave a bit more height and, on smooth PEI, use glue as a release layer.
  • To cut stringing, dry the spool if it has picked up moisture and tune retraction and temperature.

How to choose the right one

Check that your bed reaches 70–90 °C and your hotend 230–260 °C; nearly every current printer does, but if your PTFE tube runs all the way down to the nozzle, don't push it to the top of the range. PETG releases more easily from textured plates than from smooth ones.

How we choose products

usi3d shows products from other shops for their compatibility with your printer, because they help with a fault, because they ship to Spain and because the shop is trustworthy. The commission does not decide what we show or in what order.
