usi3d opens sign-ups to everyone: what an account includes and what is free
From 14 October 2026 anyone can create a usi3d account, no invitation needed. The account is free: your first AI creation costs nothing once you confirm your email, the tools for preparing a model run in the browser without using credits, and the Free plan receives credits every month.

What changes at usi3d today
For the first few weeks you needed an invitation to get into usi3d while we tuned 3D creation, payments and the printer troubleshooting assistant. From today sign-up is open: register with your email or your Google account, confirm the address and you can get to work.
If you are new here, usi3d is a 3D printing website in three parts: creating models with AI from a text or a photo, preparing them for your printer and fixing problems when something goes wrong. There is a fuller picture in what is usi3d and in our launch post.
What is free with a usi3d account
- Your first AI creation. Once you confirm your email, your first creation uses no credits. It is one per person, even if you open another account with a variant of the same email address.
- The tools for preparing a model. Colours and filament, Split into parts, Repair an STL model, Convert 3D files and the 3D print cost calculator run in your browser and use no credits. Since 3 November 2026, downloading the painted or split model needs the Pro, Max or Business plan.
- The troubleshooting guides. The guides for fixing 3D printers are free to read. There are more than 180 of them, by brand and by symptom, each with its official sources.
- Credits every month. The Free plan receives a credit balance each monthly cycle. They are valid for that month and do not roll over.
- The community. Browse the models in the community and the usi3d Collection, each with its licence in plain sight.
What uses credits
Generating a 3D model with AI has a real computing cost, so after your first creation each one is paid for with credits. The price depends on the quality and on what you ask for, and you see it before confirming. Writing the idea, attaching photos and asking for the quote cost nothing: the job starts when you press Generate.
If the service cannot finish a job, the credit reservation is released. If you get a model and want a different result, that counts as a new generation, which is why it pays to get the input right. Viewing your models in the viewer is free. What each plan allows when you download your AI creations as STL, GLB or 3MF is set out in Plans and credits, alongside the price of every action.

Plans are paid by card, renew automatically each month and can be cancelled from your account with no commitment: if you cancel, the plan runs to the end of the paid month. Credit packs are added to your balance and do not expire while the account is active. And if you sign up to the newsletter and confirm your email, the first month of your first Pro or Max plan comes with a discount.
Getting started in five minutes
Create your account
Sign up with your email and a password, or with Google. You will get a message to confirm the address: without that step the free creation is not unlocked.
Choose where to start
With a photo of the object, use Image to 3D. If you only have the idea, use Text to 3D. For something guided, like a figure of your pet or a desk organiser, open Guided projects.
Check the design before the 3D
With a photo, you first see the design from every side. If something looks off, you fix it before the mesh is made.
Prepare the part
Paint it with real filaments, split it if it does not fit your bed and work out how much filament and money the print will take.
If the printer misbehaves
Describe the symptom to the AI troubleshooting assistant or look up your case in the guides. With an account, every diagnosis is saved with its steps so you can pick it up later.
What we do not do yet
usi3d does not take print orders for now: We print your design is announced as coming soon and is not accepting orders. Printer problems are handled by usi3d's AI, with its guides and their sources. If something does not work as you expect, write to us through the contact page.
