Introducing usi3d: create in 3D with AI, prepare your part, fix your printer
usi3d is a 3D printing website you use in your browser, on your phone too, in English and in Spanish. It does three jobs: it creates 3D models with AI from a text or a photo, it gets any model ready for your printer, and it helps you fix printer problems with an AI that answers with each manufacturer's official sources.

Key points
- usi3d turns a description or a photo into a 3D model you can review, paint and download as STL or GLB.
- Painting, splitting into parts, converting formats, repairing an STL and costing a print all run in the browser and use no credits. Since 3 November 2026, the painted or split model downloads with the Pro, Max or Business plan.
- Creating with AI costs credits, and you see the cost before you confirm; if a generation fails, the credits come back.
- The troubleshooting AI covers printers of any brand, filament or resin, and links the official sources.
Anyone who prints at home knows the routine: find a model that almost works, tweak it in software you barely know, slice it, watch the first layer peel off and spend the evening on forums. usi3d puts those steps in one place. Today the site opens with the tools described below.
What is usi3d?
usi3d is an independent 3D printing website. There is nothing to install: it runs in the browser on your computer and your phone, and every page is available in English and Spanish. Whatever you create with your account is kept in My projects, with its versions, so you can pick it up later.
The site is split into three areas: creating the model, preparing it for printing and fixing the printer when something goes wrong. You can use just one. If you already have an STL, for instance, the preparation tools are all you need.
Create a 3D model with AI
With Text to 3D you describe the part you have in mind: shape, style, colour and size. With Image to 3D you start from a photo, a drawing or a sketch and the AI gives it volume. The AI agent brings both together in one conversation: you say what you want, it picks the tool and shows you the cost before anything is spent.
Preparing the quote uses no credits. The job starts when you confirm, and if the generation fails the credits go back to your balance. You review the result in 3D right in the browser and download it as STL, in millimetres, for your slicer, or as GLB with its colour.
Prepare the model for your printer
A freshly made model, whether yours or downloaded, is rarely ready for the build plate. These tools run in your browser and use no credits (since 3 November 2026, downloading the painted or split model needs the Pro, Max or Business plan):
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| Colours | Paint the model by area with real filament colours, ready for a multicolour print. |
| Split into parts | Cut a model that does not fit your bed into parts with numbered joints. |
| Convert formats | Go from STL to OBJ or GLB and back, checking the size as you go. |
| Repair a model | Find open edges and badly oriented faces, and close simple flat holes. |
| Print cost calculator | Estimate filament, electricity, machine time and labour from your STL and your prices. |
Fix your 3D printer's problems with AI
Fix 3D printer problems with AI works with any brand and model, filament (FDM) or resin. You choose your printer, or type it in if it is not listed, describe what you see and which material you use, and add up to four photos of the fault. The AI tells you what to check first and how to fix it, step by step, with links to the manufacturer's official documentation.
With an account, every diagnosis is saved with its steps. The AI can get things wrong: when in doubt, the manufacturer's manual or support has the last word. And before you touch mains power, heaters or resin, switch the printer off and follow its safety instructions.
A community of makers
The Community has models published by makers and the usi3d Collection, each with its licence in plain sight. You can rotate them in 3D, save them to collections and comment on them. The licence tells you what you may do with each one: printing it for yourself, sharing it and selling it do not always go together.
How much does usi3d cost?
There are Free, Pro, Max and Business plans, with monthly credits and extra packs. Credits pay for the AI work that runs on our servers, such as a 3D generation. Every action shows its cost before you confirm it, so you never spend blind. The details are on Plans and credits.
How to get started
- If you have an idea but no model, open the AI agent and tell it what part you want.
- If you already have an STL, run it through Repair a model and then the cost calculator, which works without an account.
- If your printer is playing up, start with Fix printer problems and a photo of the fault.
For now, accounts are opened by invitation while we fine-tune the service. If you would like one, or have questions or suggestions, write to us through the contact page. This blog will carry practical tutorials and guides, starting with how to turn a photo into a printable model.
Frequently asked questions
What is usi3d?
An independent 3D printing website for creating 3D models with AI from text or a photo, preparing them for printing and fixing printer problems with AI. It runs in the browser, in English and Spanish.
Do I need to install anything to use usi3d?
No. Everything runs in the browser, on your phone too. The preparation tools, such as painting or splitting into parts, run on your own device.
Is usi3d free?
There is a Free plan. Painting, splitting into parts, converting, repairing an STL and costing a print use no credits; creating a model with AI does, and you see the cost before you confirm. You download a repaired or converted model on any plan; a painted or split one, with the Pro, Max or Business plan.
Does it work with my 3D printer?
Yes. Models download as STL or GLB for any slicer, and the troubleshooting AI covers printers of any brand, filament or resin.
Which formats can I download models in?
STL, in millimetres, for slicing, and GLB, which keeps the colour. With Convert formats you can also turn them into OBJ.
