E3D V6 hardened steel nozzle 0.4 mm
This E3D V6 nozzle is made of hardened steel, the material that stands up to abrasive filaments: those filled with carbon or glass fibre, and also those with metal particles. In a brass nozzle those particles widen and deform the orifice after surprisingly little use, and under-extrusion and clogs follow. The trade-off is that steel passes heat on less well, so you usually need slightly more temperature than with brass.
- Hardened steel, V6 format, 0.4 mm orifice, for 1.75 mm filament; one nozzle.
- Made for abrasive filaments: carbon or glass fibre, metal-filled or glow-in-the-dark.
- Fits the same V6 hotends as the brass version: Prusa i3 MK2 to MK3S, Anycubic i3 Mega, BIQU BX, MINGDA Magician and others on the shop's list.
- After fitting it, raise the temperature a few degrees and run a flow test before starting a long print.
- If you only print unfilled PLA or PETG, a brass nozzle is enough and heats more readily.

How to choose the right one
Check that your hotend takes V6 nozzles (MK8 and Volcano ones are different) and that the 0.4 mm size for 1.75 mm is selected on the page. If the fibre filament you plan to use recommends a larger nozzle, follow the filament maker's advice.
How we choose products
usi3d shows products from other shops for their compatibility with your printer, because they help with a fault, because they ship to Spain and because the shop is trustworthy. The commission does not decide what we show or in what order.
