Sakata 3D PLA 850 grey 1.75 mm, 1 kg

Sakata 3D is a Spanish filament maker, and PLA 850 is one of its general-purpose PLAs, here in grey, 1.75 mm, on a 1 kg spool. It prints easily on any FDM printer, and Sakata publishes a fairly complete data sheet: temperatures, fan, layer height, maximum recommended speed and mechanical properties measured to ASTM standards.

  • Grey PLA 850, 1.75 mm (± 0.05 mm, maximum ovality 0.05 mm), 1 kg spool.
  • Nozzle at 205–220 °C; a heated bed isn't needed, though you can run it at 50–70 °C; part-cooling fan at 100%.
  • Layer height from 0.1 to 0.3 mm and speeds up to 120 mm/s, according to the data sheet.
  • Tensile strength of 50 MPa and elongation at break of 3.31% (ASTM D638 and D882), according to Sakata.
  • Density of 1.24 g/cm³: with that figure your slicer works out accurately how much filament each print uses.

How to choose the right one

Stick to the data sheet's speed limit if you have a fast printer: to print quicker, a PLA designed for high speed is the better choice. And make sure your machine runs 1.75 mm filament.

How we choose products

usi3d shows products from other shops for their compatibility with your printer, because they help with a fault, because they ship to Spain and because the shop is trustworthy. The commission does not decide what we show or in what order.
