Recreus Filaflex 95A: semi-flexible TPU

Filaflex 95A “Medium-Flex” is the semi-flexible TPU from Recreus, the Spanish maker behind the Filaflex range, sold directly in its own shop. At Shore 95A it bends and takes knocks without breaking, yet it's much easier to print than a soft TPU, and the brand says it also works with Bowden extruders. Use it for cases, gaskets, bumpers, wheels or parts that need to absorb impacts.

  • Shore 95A TPU with elongation at break of up to 500%, according to Recreus.
  • Suitable for Bowden extruders according to the brand; with a direct-drive extruder it's easier still.
  • In the shop you choose the colour (black, white, transparent, nude, red, blue, green or fluorescent), diameter (1.75, 2.20 or 2.85 mm) and weight (500 g, 1 kg or 3 kg).
  • Print it slowly with little retraction: TPU compresses along the filament path and can tangle in the extruder.
  • Dry it if it bubbles or strings: TPU absorbs moisture easily.

How to choose the right one

Pick your printer's diameter (1.75 mm on most) and start with 500 g if it's your first flexible. On a Bowden printer, this 95A is a better starting point than the softer 82A; and on a Bambu Lab, or a Creality K1C, K1 Max or K2 Plus, the 82A is softer than they support.

How we choose products

usi3d shows products from other shops for their compatibility with your printer, because they help with a fault, because they ship to Spain and because the shop is trustworthy. The commission does not decide what we show or in what order.
