Recreus Filaflex 82A: soft flexible TPU, Original

Filaflex 82A “Original” is the classic TPU from Spanish maker Recreus: softer and stretchier than the 95A, with a Shore 82A hardness and 650% elongation at break. It's for parts that have to bend a lot or genuinely cushion: gaskets, soles, grips, plugs or protectors. In return it's more demanding to print, and Recreus recommends a direct-drive extruder.

  • Shore 82A TPU with 650% elongation at break, according to Recreus.
  • Not every printer takes it: Bambu Lab does not support TPU softer than 85A, and Creality requires 95A or harder on the K1C and K1 Max and does not support 90A or softer on the K2 Plus.
  • Recommended with a direct-drive extruder; in a long Bowden tube it tends to compress and jam.
  • Sold in 16 colours, in 1.75, 2.20 or 2.85 mm, on 500 g, 1 kg or 3 kg spools.
  • Print slowly, with almost no retraction and the filament well guided right up to the gears.
  • If it's your first flexible, the 95A is easier; the 82A pays off when the part really has to be soft.

How to choose the right one

First check your printer's minimum hardness: on a Bambu Lab, or on a Creality K1C, K1 Max or K2 Plus, choose the 95A. Also check that it has a direct-drive extruder and that the path between the drive gear and the nozzle leaves no gaps where the filament could buckle. And choose the diameter your machine takes, usually 1.75 mm.

How we choose products

usi3d shows products from other shops for their compatibility with your printer, because they help with a fault, because they ship to Spain and because the shop is trustworthy. The commission does not decide what we show or in what order.
