Bambu Lab extruder unit for P1P and P1S
This is the original extruder unit for the Bambu Lab P1P and P1S, gears included: the part of the toolhead that drives filament into the hotend. When the teeth wear or clog with debris, the extruder starts clicking, slipping or leaving bite marks on the filament, and prints come out with gaps. It's worth cleaning it before replacing it, because plastic debris between the gears is often the real culprit.

- Don't throw away the screws from the unit you remove: they're reused on the new one.

- Before replacing it, clean the gears and check that the spool turns freely without tangles.
- A nozzle set too close to the bed on the first layer, or partly clogged, can also make the extruder skip.

Make sure you choose the P1P and P1S variant, since the same page carries those for other series. If the extruder only slips with one particular filament, try another spool first: it may be moisture or an uneven diameter.
