Saturn 4 Ultra 16K: the camera shows nothing or the printer won't connect to Wi-Fi

Guide based on the manufacturer's official documentation; usi3d has not yet verified it on a machine.

Technology: Resin · Brand: Elegoo · Symptoms: Does not connect to Wi-Fi or the app · Updated on 10 October 2026

Symptom

On the Saturn 4 Ultra 16K the camera image does not show in ChituManager, the light above the camera does not come on, or the printer will not connect to Wi-Fi, drops the connection often or the software cannot find it.

Likely causes, from most to least likely

  1. Wi-Fi: printer far from the router or behind walls, mistyped password, a 5 GHz network (the printer only uses 2.4 GHz), a hidden network, MAC address filtering or too many devices on the router.
  2. The computer and the printer are not on the same local network.
  3. The router has no internet access or there is interference (microwaves, wireless speakers or cordless phones).
  4. The camera or light ribbon cables: not inserted properly (they go in one way only) or damaged.
  5. The camera is faulty.

Checks to tell which one it is

  • Connect the printer and the computer to your phone's hotspot: if it works that way, the problem is the router or the network.
  • In «Information», on the printer screen, note its IP address.
  • Turn on the light from «Settings» → «Auxiliary Function» → «Illuminator»: the light above the camera must come on.

Before you start

Uncured resin irritates skin and eyes: wear nitrile gloves and safety glasses, ventilate the room and do not look at the UV light. Before taking anything apart or cleaning it, switch the printer off and unplug it, unless a step says otherwise. If in any doubt, stop and ask a professional.

Step-by-step fix

  1. Get the Wi-Fi working

To test, move the printer within 1-3 m of the router. Connect it to the 2.4 GHz network (not the one ending in _5G) and check the password: capital letters, spaces and look-alike characters such as o and 0. Turn off hidden mode and MAC filtering, or add the printer to the allowed list. Restart the router: 30 seconds without power, then wait about 5 minutes before reconnecting.

Check: The printer connects and stays connected.

If that does not fix it: If the printer cannot see any network, not even the phone hotspot, its Wi-Fi may be faulty: contact Elegoo support.

  2. Add the printer in ChituManager

With the computer on the same local network as the printer, open ChituManager in the Chitu software, add the printer with its IP address and open the «Printer» page.

    Check: The camera image shows.

If that does not fix it: Check the camera (next step).

  3. Check or replace the camera

Switch off and unplug. Lift the camera and check the ribbon cable underneath: it goes in one way only. To replace the camera, remove the 4 screws of its back cover with a 1.5 mm Allen key, swap the module, refit the cover and plug the cable in the right way round.

Check: After switching on and connecting to Wi-Fi, the camera shows in ChituManager.

If that does not fix it: Check the camera cables (next step).

  4. Replace the camera ribbon cables

Switch off and unplug. Remove the back cover (7 screws, 2.0 mm key) and unplug the light and the camera on the mainboard. Open the light cover, loosen the camera screw (2.0 mm), lift the assembly and replace the camera ribbon cables the right way round. Route them through their holes, reassemble and plug them into the mainboard.

Check: The light comes on from «Illuminator» and the camera shows in ChituManager.

If that does not fix it: Contact Elegoo support.

  5. Information for Elegoo support

If it still will not connect, send Elegoo support the model, a photo or video of the Wi-Fi message, the router model, whether it connects to a phone hotspot, whether other devices connect to the router normally, the steps you took and the result of each one.

Check: Support tells you what to check or replace.

If that does not fix it: Follow their instructions.

Prevention

  • Keep the printer close to the router and on the 2.4 GHz network.
  • Keep the router away from microwaves, wireless speakers and cordless phones.
  • Switch off and unplug before touching the camera or its cables.
