Kobra S1: won't connect to Wi-Fi, the cloud or the app, or the camera shows nothing (11402, 10105)

Guide based on the manufacturer's official documentation; usi3d has not yet verified it on a machine.

Technology: FDM · Brand: Anycubic · Symptoms: Does not connect to Wi-Fi or the app, The printer shows an error code or message · Updated on 10 October 2026

Symptom

The Kobra S1 will not connect to Wi-Fi («Network connection failed»), shows code 11402 (network connection timed out) or 10105 (file download failed), the corner of the screen shows the Wi-Fi icon but not the cloud icon, the Anycubic app cannot find it or the camera image does not load.

Likely causes, from most to least likely

  1. The network is not supported: the Kobra S1 only works with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (not 5 GHz or mixed bands), not with networks that need secondary authentication or a proxy.
  2. The network name or the password does not match (capital letters, special characters) or the network is hidden.
  3. Wi-Fi but no cloud: the router firewall or the internet provider blocks the connection to Anycubic's servers.
  4. Weak signal (below -80 dBm), printer far from the router, or a loose or broken Wi-Fi antenna.
  5. Outdated firmware or, with 10105, full local storage.
  6. The camera needs a very stable network; its cable or the camera module itself can also fail.

Checks to tell which one it is

  • Look at the top right corner of the screen: with the cloud icon, the printer reaches the server; with only the Wi-Fi icon, it reaches the router but not the cloud.
  • Connect the printer to your phone's hotspot: if it reaches Anycubic's server that way, the problem is your network or your internet provider.
  • For the camera, try viewing it in LAN mode from Anycubic Slicer Next: if it works there, the problem is the cloud or the account; if not, your local network.

Before you start

Before taking anything apart, cleaning or adjusting it, switch the printer off and unplug it, unless a step says otherwise, and do not touch the nozzle, the heater block or the bed until they have cooled down. If in any doubt about electricity, heat or moving parts, stop and ask a professional.

Step-by-step fix

  1. Connect to the right Wi-Fi

On the screen, go to «Network» → «WLAN», pick your 2.4 GHz network, type the password carefully (capital letters and special characters) and tap «OK».

Check: The cloud icon appears in the top right corner.

If that does not fix it: Check the router (next step).

  2. Check the router

Make sure the network shows up on your phone and is not hidden, that the router has the 2.4 GHz band enabled and that the network needs no secondary authentication or proxy. Move the printer closer to the router and, if other devices do connect, restart the router.

Check: The printer sees the network and connects.

If that does not fix it: If it connects to Wi-Fi but the cloud icon does not appear, check the firewall (next step).

  3. Wi-Fi without cloud: firewall or provider

If only the Wi-Fi icon shows, check whether the router firewall blocks the connection. Try your phone's hotspot: if it works that way, ask your internet provider to lift the restriction. Anycubic also explains how to check from a computer, with telnet, whether its server can be reached.

    Check: The cloud icon appears.

If that does not fix it: Update the firmware (next step).

  4. Update the firmware and free up storage

Update the printer to the latest firmware and do not switch it off during the update. If the error is 10105, check the free space in local storage and delete files you no longer need, never one that is being read or printed.

Check: The download completes and the file appears in the local list.

If that does not fix it: Check the antenna and the signal (next step).

  5. Antenna and signal

If the connection drops, switch off, unplug and check that the Wi-Fi antenna is firmly connected, not loose or broken. Check the signal strength: between -40 and -80 dBm is normal and below -80 dBm is weak; move the printer closer to the router.

    Check: The connection stays stable.

If that does not fix it: Try LAN mode (next step).

  6. LAN mode and camera

With the firmware and Anycubic Slicer Next up to date, enable «Settings» → «Network» → «LAN Mode» and add the printer in the slicer («Workbench» → «Add Printer», or with the IP shown on the printer). While LAN mode is on, the cloud and the app stop working. If the camera works in LAN mode but not in the app, give Anycubic support your account and the CN code.

Check: The printer appears in the slicer and the camera image loads.

If that does not fix it: If the camera does not work in LAN mode either, check its cable and module (next step).

  7. Check the camera

Switch off and unplug. Remove the camera housing screw with the H2.0 key, supporting the module so it does not hang from the cable. If the connector has red adhesive, remove it first; unplug and reconnect the cable holding the connector body, without pulling the wires. If there is still no image, Anycubic says to replace the camera module.

Check: When switched on, the live view displays normally.

If that does not fix it: If a new camera behaves the same, the cable may be faulty: contact Anycubic support with photos of the connection and the image.

Prevention

  • Use a stable 2.4 GHz network without secondary authentication or proxy, and keep the printer close to the router.
  • Keep the firmware up to date.
  • Do not switch off or unplug the printer while it updates its firmware.
