Artillery M1 Pro: will not connect to wifi or Artillery Studio cannot find it
Checked against the official documentation from Artillery.
Technology: FDM · Brand: Artillery · Symptoms: Does not connect to Wi-Fi or the app, Problems after a firmware update · Updated on 5 November 2026
Symptom
The M1 Pro does not find your network or does not connect after typing the password, does not show its IP address, or Artillery Studio cannot connect to it to send prints, watch the camera or update it.
Likely causes, from most to least likely
- The network is 5 GHz: the M1 Pro's wifi only works on the 2.4 GHz band.
- The wifi password was mistyped on the on-screen keyboard.
- The computer running Artillery Studio is not on the same local network as the printer: the connection fails.
- An IP address other than the one shown by the printer was entered in Artillery Studio.
- Old versions: remote connection needs Artillery Studio 1.0.5 or later and firmware V1.0.01.00 or later; firmware V1.00.12.00 improved how the wifi password is handled.
Checks to tell which one it is
- On the printer's network screen, check that wifi is on and whether the IP address appears after connecting.
- Check on the router that the 2.4 GHz network is enabled and that it is the one you connect the printer to.
- Check that the computer running Artillery Studio is on the same network as the printer.
- Check the Artillery Studio version and the printer firmware version (in the general section of the screen).
Before you start
Before taking anything apart, cleaning or adjusting it, switch the printer off and unplug it, unless a step says otherwise, and do not touch the nozzle, the heater block or the bed until they have cooled down. If in any doubt about electricity, heat or moving parts, stop and ask a professional.
Step-by-step fix
Connect it to a 2.4 GHz network
On the screen, open the network section: wifi turns on and scans for nearby networks. Choose a 2.4 GHz network and type the password on the on-screen keyboard. The first time, the start-up wizard also asks for it after choosing the language.
Check: A successful connection message appears and the screen shows the printer's IP address.
If that does not fix it: Type the password again, minding upper and lower case, and check that the network is 2.4 GHz.
Add it in Artillery Studio by its IP
With the computer on the same local network, open Artillery Studio, go to Device and, at the top right, add the printer by IP address using the one shown on the screen. Then, after slicing, Print sends the job to that printer.
Check: The printer appears in the device list with its IP and status.
If that does not fix it: Connect the computer to the same network as the printer, check the IP on the screen and add it again.
Update Artillery Studio and the firmware
Remote connection needs Artillery Studio 1.0.5 or later and firmware V1.0.01.00 or later. With wifi, the printer checks for new firmware and offers it at power-on; you can also see it in the general section, under the firmware version. Press update and wait until it finishes and restarts.
Check: After restarting, the screen shows the new version and the printer connects again.
If that does not fix it: If the download stops or fails, restart the printer and update again following the screen.
If it still will not connect, export the log
Insert an NTFS-formatted SD card into the slot on the screen and, in Settings, General, export the logs to the card: it takes a few minutes and creates an m1pro_log file, which must not be renamed. Send it to Artillery after-sales service.
Check: You have the m1pro_log file on the card for after-sales service.
If that does not fix it: Contact Artillery after-sales service anyway and describe what happens.
Prevention
- Keep the printer on a 2.4 GHz network and on the same network as the computer you control it from.
- Keep Artillery Studio and the firmware up to date: with wifi, the printer announces new versions.
- If you do not need wifi, you can switch it off on the screen and print from the SD card.
